Woman, 23 Dies While Trying To Rescue Boyfriend From Burning Building

A courageous young woman died after she rushed into a burning block of flats to warn neighbours of the fire sweeping through the building.

Sophie Rosser was coming home from a birthday party to the fifth-floor flat she shared with her boyfriend Oscar Silva when she saw flames and smoke coming from the block.

The 23-year-old architecture graduate, who was about to start a course in interior design, phoned her 28-year-old boyfriend from outside the flats and told him he needed get out quickly.

She then ran into the building in an attempt to warn others of the danger.

Mr Silva and the couple's flatmate tried to make their way down the building's fire escape, but found themselves beaten back by thick plumes of smoke and instead rushed out on to the balcony.

As Mr Silva looked down he saw a firefighter carrying Miss Rosser from the burning building in the Isle of Dogs, East London.

It is thought she was trying to alert neighbours about the early morning fire.

Mr Silva, an architect, said he and Miss Rosser had been living together for more than two years and that they had planned to marry and have children.

He told MailOnline today that she called him to alert him to the fire from outside the flats. 'She told me to wake up my flatmate and get out of the flat.

'We were trying to make our way down the fire escape, which is supposed to be safe, but it was filled with smoke.'

Mr Silva said they were only able to get down to the first floor before the heat and smoke became too intense to continue.

'I came back. I came straight upstairs and I tried to call Sophie to say we were safe, but she didn't pick up.

'I never expected her to come upstairs.'

Still stuck on the balcony, the next Mr Silva saw of his girlfriend was as he watched a firefighter carrying her from of the burning building over his shoulder.

'I could see the clothes she had on,' he said. 'I knew what she had been wearing that night so I knew it was her. I was expecting her to move a leg or something - but there was nothing.'

Firefighters said the fire had broken out on the fourth floor. It was there that Miss Rosser collapsed after she rushed into the block of flats on her ill-fated rescue mission.

Cossy Goes Crazy With Her Nudé Photos On Twitter

“Make me your attendant tonight. I will gladly play my roles,” Cossy tweeted along with pictures which showed a generous view of her ample bosoms and backside.
It is hard to ignore Nollywood actress and singer, Cossy Orjiakor. But the voluptuous actress, who embraced controversy with her half nudé performances in Fuji artiste Obesere’s, music video, Apple Juice, seems to easily forget just how hard it is for some men to ignore her.
Bored and feeling ‘a little mischievous’, the actress made her Twitter fans pay for her ‘memory lapse’ by tweeting explicit pictures of herself recently.

Probably taking her tweet seriously, it wasn’t long before some men reached out to her, offering her ‘crazy’ roles, in their attempts to make their fantasies of her a reality .The reactions she got from men who are crazy about her expose' was so much that Cossy had to get back on Twitter to demand respect for her privacy.

She tweeted, “That I follow you does not mean I am séxually attracted to you. So, if you DM (Direct Message) me about how good you are in handling boobs, I will block you. #warning.”

Recall that this is not the first time Cossy has been forced to ask fans to respect her privacy on the social networks. The actress, who started acting around 2000, had sometime last year taken to Facebook to warn some women to keep their husbands away from her.

“Wives, please hold your husbands. If you are married to, or you’re a girlfriend to Oyi Vitus Obunike or Oraniaka Patrick, please tell these old men to leave me alone. If you are not satisfying them séxually then go for some training. My inbox is filled with their messages. Now they are turning nasty. It’s not by force. Get a life, I’m living mine, delete yourselves or let me be,” her damning posts read.

COMEDIAN I GO DYE AND FAMILY

One of the real deals in the world of comedy-I Go Die, recently dropped a picture of his family. We wouldn't have expected less from a man getting paid to make people laugh, than a laughing family. What do you think about the picture?

Big Sean has worked closely with Kanye West for some time now, and his debut album included collaborations with everyone from Rick Ross to Chris Brown, but this was something extra special. "I remember the first thing I thought was, 'Damn, I'm excited as hell," and then I was like, 'Damn, I wish I ain't have to do my verse first," he added, laughing. "But I think it's well-represented and it's on the G.O.O.D. Music album and it's on my next album too." The Hit-Boy-produced track is heavy on drums and finds all three rappers bragging about the strength of their clique, with Jay-Z spitting, "Yeah I'm talking 'Ye, yeah I'm talking Rih, yeah I'm talking Bey/ n---a, I'm talking me/ yeah, boss sh-- I ain't talking Kelis." Can't argue with that. "It was an honor to be on that song with those dudes," Sean said, recalling another memorable moment that took place last weekend in Philadelphia. "When we [were] walking off the stage at Made in America in Philly, and we were walking to the dressing room, Kanye was like, 'Man, I'm glad you rapped for me at that radio station,' and I said, 'Sh-- man, me too.' " The 24-year-old was referencing his 2005 encounter with West outside of a Detroit radio station that eventually led to his record deal. Big Sean is currently working on his sophomore album, but he dropped his Detroit mixtape earlier this week to tide fans over until its release

"Clique," the latest single from G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer album, debuted on Thursday night with verses from Jay-Z, Kanye West and Big Sean, who tells MTV News that he was surprised to find out that the Throne ended up on the track.
The Detroit rapper explained that he originally recorded his portion of the song in London for Kanye West, and hadn't heard much about it until a recent phone call informed him that both Jay and Kanye would be included on it."I did the chorus in London to the beat and 'Ye liked it or whatever [but] I was the first one to do my verse. So I did my verse first, sent it back to him, and didn't hear anything back for a while [but] then people were talking about it," Sean explained. The next time he bumped into 2 Chainz, the Atlanta rapper gave him a thumbs up on the track, but there was still no update from Kanye himself. "Then I get a call a little bit later after that, and somebody told me that Hov is on the record and I was like, 'damn,' " he continued. "They were like Hov and 'Ye hopped on it, so I'm thinking, 'Ah, they're probably gonna take my verse off even though I laced it' — you know, the Throne, Kanye and Jay ... but then I get the call like, 'Nah, it's you Kanye and Jay-Z.'"

Nicki Minaj To Release 'Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up' in November

Roman is back with a vengeance.
In an interview with E! News, Nicki Minaj said she will be re-releasing her sophomore effort under the title 'Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up' this November with some new additions.
"I'm releasing my album in November. It's called Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up and I'm putting lots of new songs on there. I'm actually going to drop my new single next week. So Barbz, you are going to spaz, you are going to love it, you are going to go crazy," the YMCMB rapstress said on the red carpet at Thursday's 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
However, the conversation turned dry when asked if she would be occupying the judges' seat on American Idol. “I have no comment on it,” she said. While she may be swerving Mariah Carey, Nicki definitely turned the heat up for her special performance with Alicia Keys for "Girl On Fire" at the show.
As for her album's sequel, let's hope it isn't laced with Dedication 4 Republican raps before she receives more of these.

2.6 Million Lagos Residents Are Illiterate - Lagos State Government

According to the Special Adviser to Governor Fashola on Education, Mr. Abdul-Fatai Olukoga, only 2.6 million Lagos residents are illiterate. He said a recent survey carried out on the 20,546,999 population in the state revealed that 17,875,889 people are literate while 2,671,110 are illiterate.

He said this on Thursday September 6th during this year's celebration of International Literacy Day in Lagos State.

17.8 million Lagos residents are literate? I don't know how they arrived at this, but it sure sounds good to my ears.

Beyonce There's NO BEEF With Kim Kardashian

There was lots of speculation this week following a story in which Bey allegedly confronted Kim at Jay-Z's recent Made in America event in Philadelphia -- asking Kim to stop posing for the cameras because she was stealing Jay-Z's spotlight.

Director Ron Howard was at the event too -- and according to reports, Kim approached Ron to cast her in one of his films ... another detail that allegedly pissed off Beyonce.

But sources close to Beyonce's camp tell us, there was no confrontation whatsoever -- in fact, when Kanye performed with Jay-Z at the event ... we're told Beyonce and Kim watched their men together backstage, laughing and hugging the whole time.

As one source put it, "They love each other -- they talk fashion, family, Beyonce's baby all the time."

As for the Ron Howard thing -- we're told Kim never uttered a word to him the entire day.
